Job Description

The Senior Director of Procurement would oversee procurement process for the new build of all Elevate Renewables projects including BESS, Solar and Wind.  This includes:

  • Major OEM procurement including all negotiations, coordination with legal, engineering and any compliance regulatory to finalize contract execution
  • EPC contracts – this entails all negotiation with EPC vendors to finalize entire scope, exhibits, terms and conditions and pricing
  • Work with compliance to manage all contracts including offtake, EPC, OEM, MSA, O&M, LTSA, and ESA to help streamline and operate the business
  • Work cross-functionally with Development, Origination, Engineering, Construction, M&A, and Operations teams
  • The position’s primary focus will be to lead CapEx forecasting, market research, manage supplier relationships, and support the development/M&A pipeline. The candidate will develop and improve internal processes to enhance RFPs, MSA execution, and design optimization process

The position reports to the VP of Capital Expenditures.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy
  • Create a comprehensive procurement plan aligned with the overall project schedule and budget, including vendor identification, evaluation criteria, and negotiation strategies
  • Develop vendor management system/tracker that provides updates on pricing, availability, lead times, etc. that will provide a vendor summary report for management to review
Supplier Selection and Management
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships across multiple technologies (wind, solar, battery, high voltage, EPC)
  • Identify and qualify potential vendors, conduct thorough evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the project
OEM Contract Management
  • Review and approve vendor contracts, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions. This includes:
    • All contract compliance including management of deliverables
    • Handle contract disputes and ensure all work product meet contractual requirements
EPC Contract Management
  • Work closely with the EPC project team to ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and engineering design
  • Work with construction team to manage schedule risk, change orders and project costs
  • Handle contract disputes and ensure all work product meet contractual requirements
  • Ability to travel to various project sites across the country

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Strong understanding of EPC project delivery methodology and procurement processes
  • Experience in contract negotiation and management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (Technical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Finance) and scopes in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Project management skills including organizing and maintaining a contract structure
  • Background in Engineering, Finance, MBA and/or JD is preferred

Compensation and Location

Compensation: The annual salary plus bonus range for this position is listed below. The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
